ChefToshiro Ogata - An artist who loves the changing seasons
After working at the long-established Kyoto Ryokan "Hiiragiya," Toshiro Ogata served as head chef at "Muromachi Wakuden" and then "Kyoto Wakuden" for 13 years. In 2008, he opened his own restaurant in Koyakunozushi near Muromachi-dori. In a setting that exudes history, he spins a variety of bold yet delicate dishes. This renowned restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars (for 11 consecutive years since 2010) and continues to set new standards in Japanese Cuisine every day.

The ancient capital, Kyoto. Just a step away from Shijo Street, there is a Japanese Cuisine located in an alley called "Koyaku no Zushi." When you open the sliding door of the Kyoto Machiya, a faint light shines through the gaps in the vertically split bamboo on the ceiling, creating beautiful geometric shadows. If you go further inside, you will find a relaxing space consisting of a refreshing wooden counter and a private room with a view of the small garden.
